PhoneGap lets you write Android apps using HTML & CSS. Here is a screenshot of a very basic first app on webview.

It’s concerning that you had so much trouble with eclipse on your computer. I’m hopeful that using a phone will fix some of that. This write up is pretty slim. Some description of the problem, error messages, and a link to your zipped up project files would be helpful so I could try to help. 5/10
